Karen earned her Ph.D. in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She also has a B.A. in Philosophy from Wake Forest University and a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University.
Karen did her early training at the Amen Clinic, a leading national clinic based in California and learned how psychiatric illness manifests in the brain. She practices cutting-edge, holistic treatment that focuses on healing the mind-body connection. Karen is licensed as a professional counselor and a marriage and family therapist in the states of Georgia and New Mexico.
Karen founded Sweetwater Practice to further meet the needs of the Buckhead, Greater Atlanta, and Santa Fe community. She works with teenagers and adults suffering from anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, trauma, codependency, and grief. Karen believes in a comprehensive approach that addresses the whole person – psychological, social, biological, as well as spiritual.
